Continuous Signal: A Pink Floyd Affair
On Saturday 2/24 night, I had a wonderful time performing with Continuous Signal: A Pink Floyd Affair in the Hermosa Beach Theatre.
I joined them for the two finale numbers, Wish You Were Here and Comfortably Numb, playing my Martin J12-15 12-string acoustic all-mahogany guitar at the Hermosa Beach Theatre. I love playing 12-string at home, and there isn’t often a call for it live, so this was a special treat.
Underground Sunshine
I’m working on my third CD (album), which I’m tentatively calling Underground Sunshine. I am pleased to attach one of the songs that might make the record: my reimagining of a song I loved when I was thirteen years old (isn’t that why all of us go into music in the first place, to forever be 13?) called Hey There Lonely Girl, originally recorded by Eddie Holman singing in falsetto. My friend and collaborator Christopher Harrison created the backing track for me. I practiced for weeks, took lessons with Mary Setrakian, and was able to sing it!
